Watchdog opens case vs Google for non-deletion of banned info

MOSCOW, Nov 23 (PRIME) -- The communications service has opened a case against Google for non-deletion from search results of Internet resources with the information banned in Russia, the watchdog said on Monday in a statement.

“The communications service opened an administrative procedure against Google,” the authority said.

Google earlier showed information on the resources, access to which is restricted in Russia in search results, including the websites with extremist, pornographic, or suicidal content.

“On average, Google does not delete up to 30% of ‘dangerous’ content from search results,” the watchdog said.
